Our SNAP® 700 printer represents the ultimate in cost-effective tag and label printing. You can use it to print on multiple substrates including hang tags, price tickets, heat seal labels, pressure sensitive size and price stickers, and care labels up to 5" (127mm) wide. Fast and reliable, it provides an affordable yet flexible solution for in-plant printing. Its two-sided print capability maximizes stock utilization which cuts costs. Simple to set up and use, the SNAP 700 comes packed with advanced features.

With high print speeds up to 12" (305mm) per second, a five-inch (127mm)
wide print area, and an integral cutter and stacker, the SNAP 700 is highly productive: all your care and content labels can be printed, batched and stacked in a single operation.
Setting up and operating the machine is incredibly simple: it has easy-to-use controls, quick stock and ink loading and a center-justified feed path.
Packed with innovative features, the SNAP 700 also provides a virtual control/display panel on your PC. This panel allows you to manage printer settings and adjustments, send print jobs to the printer in seconds, and perform maintenance and upgrades. Furthermore, you can interface your printer with your mainframe computer or even use online services to move information all over the world.
The SNAP 700 replaces the following Avery Dennison printers: 636, 656, 686, 676 (1/1), 6404, 6405, A64 C/S.

- 1. Unwind System - The SNAP 700 features a unique unwind system.
- 2. Tape Guide - One-touch tape guide that only requires a twist of a knob to center the tape through the printer.
- 3. Decurler - Removes curl in tags resulting in better quality output.
- 4. Registration Sensors - Enhance stock flexibility by using pre-printed stock with sensemarks. The printer will align the variable print with the sensemark.
- 5. Feed Path - Straight Through Feed Path for easier loading and less downtime.
- 6. Ink Ribbon Arbors - Ink ribbons install quickly and easily. The ink ribbon arbors have an auto-centering feature which centers the ink ribbon and holds it tight.
- 7. Printheads - The SNAP 700 printhead has a number of features which make it easier to use and improve print quality.

- 14. PCMate - Avery Dennison's tag and label printing software integrates with the SNAP printer.
- 15. Virtual Control Panel - Machine control and adjustments are available on a small panel at the bottom of the PCMate printing screen.
- 16. Diagnostics - The SNAP printer comes with a strong diagnostics capability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and easily.
- 17. Upgrades - Receive operating system upgrades over the Internet and install using PCMate for new features and bug fixes.
- Barcode Verifier (shown in picture above) - Scans every barcode printed, shutting down the printer if a barcode doesn't scan. Once stopped, the operator can check for bad printhead dots, examine stock or ink for wrinkling, or clean the printhead.
- Sonic knife - Uses ultrasonic waves to cut and seal the ends of satin labels for a soft feel against the skin. Virtually eliminates fraying.
- RFID - Generates RFID tags and self-adhesive labels. Offers combined encoding and printing capability (commissioning).
- Spare Parts Kit - A compilation of parts with a single item number that will help you keep your printer running smoothly and effectively with a minimum of down time.

- Care Label Stocks - Coated tape, uncoated woven edge tape, and heat seal tapes
- Paper Boards - Coated and uncoated paper stocks up to 12 pt
- Ink Ribbons - The printhead is near edge and will run near edge ink ribbons for higher speed and print quality. However, the SNAP 700 also runs flat head inks for more economical (though slower) printing.

- PCMate Platinum - Designed and completely supported by Avery Dennison engineers. Low-priced and powerful. The software contains an integrated control panel that provides printer information and adjustments. If not connected to the PC and driven by PCMate, you may use the optional remote control panel.
- NiceLabel/LMS - Drive your printer with a full-featured, flexible package at a reasonable price. NiceLabel package or LMS (Label Management System) from Avery can drive the SNAP 700.
