SNAP 700 Multimedia Printer-Features
17. Upgrades
The SNAP 700 printer working with PCMate Platinum provides printer operating system upgrades. Avery Dennison provides these upgrades for:
- New features
- Bug fixes
- Better operability
Avery Dennison will send the upgrade file to the factory, or the operator can download the upgrade from a designated ftp folder. After placing the file in the correct upgrade folder on the PC, the operator restarts PCMate. PCMate then detects the file, asks for permission to perform the upgrade, and proceeds to install the new operation system. Typically the upgrades take a couple of minutes to complete.
