16. Diagnostics

 

SNAP 700's PCMate Platinum has a diagnostics tab on the "Show Settings" window activated from the Virtual Control Panel. The program allows the operator to:

• Retrieve the diagnostic log file from the printer
• Open the diagnostic log file for viewing
• Start the Interactive SNAP Diagnostic (ISD) program to test the operation of the printer and diagnose problems
• Open the error log file to view historical errors from SNAP printers

The ISD program allows the operator to test:

• Top and bottom ink motors
• Stock unwind motor
• Feed, knife, and stacker motors
• Top and bottom printheads
• Sensor response
