1. Unwind System

 

Avery Dennison's SNAP 700 offers a unique stock unwind system. The operator loads a roll of stock onto the printer and turns the knob which extends three fingers. These fingers perform two functions, which are:

• Gripping the roll of stock tightly.
• Automatically centering the roll.

By gripping the roll, the printer provides the correct back tension regardless of roll diameter. And by centering the roll, the printer tracks the stock better and produces a higher quality output.

• Gripping the roll produces the correct back-tension. This means better tracking through the printer. Thus the printer's excellent side-to-side registration ensures the print is in the right place in relation to the edges of the label.
• Auto-centering through the printer means the operator does not have to worry about aligning the tape down the centerline of the printer manually.
