In the world of apparel fashion labeling, Avery Dennison is leading the way with an impressive range of eco-friendly labeling solutions to complement sustainable garments—a range that would not be complete without woven label solutions. Our line of eco-friendly woven labels currently includes:
- Organic cotton warp and ground / lettering fill weft, or natural bamboo weft
- Recycled polyester blend with standard polyester warp
- 100% recycled polyester warp and fill
Blends between natural fibers, including organic cotton and bamboo, and recycled or standard polyesters are also possible. These custom woven label combinations can be enhance created to enhance clarity of text or wash performance over wholly natural labeling while still meeting sustainable criteria.

Blends With Natural Bamboo
- Organic cotton warp and natural cotton warp-and weft-based woven labels are manufactured exclusively on needle looms from certified organic cotton or natural cotton, and yarns derived from natural bamboo (either viscose or spun processed) These woven fabric labels offer the following attributes:
- Very soft hand, along with natural look
- Limitations with density and design clarity
- Organic cotton, natural cotton and bamboo are natural beige in color, and can be dyed upon on request
- Resistant to home laundering at temperatures up to 110°F/40°C but not recommended for industrial laundering/processes
AVAILABILITY:
Limited availability of organic cotton in the marketplace poses the risk of supply chain interruptions. Projections are needed for programs requiring organic cotton. Manufactured in HK / China only. Natural cotton weft products are available in Europe.
60%-70% Recycled Polyester / 30%-40% Standard Polyester Woven Labels
- Manufactured on either broad or needle looms using standard polyester warp combined with certified recycled polyester ground and lettering fill yarns made from Post Consumer Waste, Post Industrial Waste or combination
- Standard polyester look and feel
- Recycled fill yarns are dyed to match
- Wash resistant at temperatures up to 200°F/90°C
- General performance and look similar to standard polyester yarns
AVAILABILITY: Manufactured in HK / China only.
Woven Garment Labels of 100% Recycled Polyester
- Manufactured on broad loom using both warp, ground and lettering weft fill, from certified recycled polyester yarns made from Post Consumer Waste, Post Industrial Waste or combination
- Standard polyester look and feel
- White warp recycled poly only
- Recycled fill yarns are dyed to match
- General performance and look similar to standard polyester yarns
Wash resistant at temperatures up to 200°F/90°C
